We contantly work to strengthen our relationship with our state legislators to advance the interests of our members and to collaborate for the purposes of achieving mutually beneficial goals.
During the 2009 session we will encourage our legislators to create a Centereshore caucus to develop a regional agenda that will:
- Strengthen the business environment and economic development of the Centershore Economic Corridor.
- Work on problems and solutions related to the Centershore region
- Advance and address our common interests and issues.
While myriad issues and agendas exist, our growth requires that all our State legislators as well as the Centershore Caucus focus particular attention on the following areas:
- Transportation
- Health Care
- Technology, Bioscience, Manufacturing
- Education
- Labor, Workforce Development
- Culture and Tourism
- Energy
While these goals are ambitious, we believe that by collaboratively working together we can make the Centershore area a better place to live and work.
